Toolbox Ultramarine specializes in the production and distribution of temperature-sensitive biological materials, including recombinant

proteins and related reagents. To preserve product integrity, all applicable items are shipped on dry ice under controlled conditions.

Due to the sensitive and perishable nature of these materials, specific shipping and return limitations apply.

 

Shipping Conditions

Temperature-Controlled Packaging

All frozen products are:

  • Shipped on sufficient dry ice to maintain required temperatures during transit

  • Packaged using validated insulation systems

  • Prepared in accordance with industry standards for biological materials

We aim to ensure that products arrive frozen and fully intact when delivered under standard shipping conditions.

Shipping Methods

  • Orders are typically shipped via overnight or expedited courier services

  • Shipments are dispatched Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend delays

  • Shipping timelines may vary based on destination and regulatory requirements

Risk of Transit

Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon delivery. Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate shipping information

  • Receiving packages promptly upon delivery

  • Proper storage of materials immediately upon receipt

Failure to receive or properly store shipments may compromise product integrity.

Customer Responsibilities Upon Delivery

Upon receipt, customers must:

  • Inspect the package immediately

  • Confirm that contents remain frozen (presence of dry ice or frozen condition)

  • Transfer materials to appropriate storage conditions (e.g., -20°C, -80°C) without delay

Limited Claims Policy

Due to the perishable nature of frozen biological materials:

Eligible Claims

We may consider claims under the following conditions:

  • Product arrives completely thawed or compromised

  • Shipment is significantly delayed due to carrier error

  • Incorrect product was shipped

Claim Requirements

All claims must:

  • Be submitted within 24 hours of delivery

  • Include photographic evidence of:

    • Packaging condition

    • Dry ice status

    • Product condition

  • Include order and shipment details

Non-Returnable Products

All products shipped on dry ice are non-returnable due to:

  • Temperature sensitivity

  • Risk of contamination

  • Inability to verify storage conditions post-delivery

We do not accept returns of:

  • Opened products

  • Unused but thawed materials

  • Products held outside required storage conditions

Replacement & Remedies

At our sole discretion, we may:

  • Replace the affected product

  • Issue a credit toward future purchases

Remedies are evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on:

  • Compliance with this policy

  • Supporting documentation

  • Carrier performance

Shipping Delays and Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including:

  • Weather disruptions

  • Carrier delays

  • Customs or regulatory holds

  • Natural disasters or other force majeure events

Export and Regulatory Compliance

Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable:

  • Import/export regulations

  • Customs requirements

  • Local laws governing biological materials

We reserve the right to refuse shipment where regulatory compliance cannot be ensured.

Limitation of Liability
