T4 gp41 protein

T4 gp41 protein is a multimeric ring replicative DNA helicase essential for T4 phage replication. T4gp41 requires ATP and Mg+2 to unwind double-stranded DNA. On circular templates DNA helicase requires T4 gp59 helicase loading protein and T4gp32 single-strand binding protein (GP3210) to position the helicase at the replication fork. DNA helicase is required for processive synthesis by DNA polymerases.

T4 gp41 protein is purified from E. coli which contains T4 gp41 (6xHIS) expressing plasmid.
